Hi all - I'm new to posting (though not to taking advice!) from Boards so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I'm buying a house and got a building inspection report and there are a number of issues highlighted - nothing seems too major, but I'm completely ignorant and have no idea what to do next in terms of pricing up the work required. I didn't get the report as a bargaining tool, but at the same time if something is going to cost thousands to fix I need to be aware of it before signing contracts. Would anyone have any advice as to where people would usually start with this?

    The main issues highlighted include:
    - Inspect and repair soil vent pipe and tile along front roof slope (this is the only item listed as urgent, but I've no idea who would even do something like this!)
    - Fully connect up the ducting from the extractor fan in the en-suite to the vent tile.
    - Increase ventilation to main and lean-to roof.
    - General maintenance to rainwater goods where water is leaking from gutter to front and rear. There are also some other guttering maintenance issues where they have partly slipped.
    - Redecoration and coating of the soffit and fascia where staining and decay has started to occur.
    - Provide weep holes to the brick work above a ground floor window.
    - Reseal with flexible mastic the surrounds of the window frames at junction with the reveal.
    - Reinstate a removed strut from the truss area above the entrance into the roof space.

There is also some advice on improving insulation, which I expected since I already know the BER.

Would someone in the know be able to advise if these are big jobs, or even advise what type of tradesmen I should contact to get quotes? Would some of the jobs be fairly straightforward DIY?

I'd really appreciate any advice going!
