Mavic shoe sizing

Can't find an answer to this in a search even bough I'm sure it's there somewhere.

I want to buy a pair of Mavic shoes but never having owned a pair before I don't know the sizing. I'm a road shoe size 44, in a Soesh I'm a 45 and in Shimano it's 46. How does Mavic compare? Also, are they wide or narrow fitting or are there both for choice?

    Thanks in advance

I went from Shimano to Mavic. Size 42 in both but found the Shimano's had a bit more room in them, most noticeable in the toe box area. Mavic probably a little bit narrower too. If it's worth anything I wouldn't change from Mavic now, love them.

Just got a new pair of Mavic. White, so they won't see the light of day until May!
They are definately a bit narrow in the toe, I have 44 Shimano and they are roomy, whereas the 44 in mavic are snug and a bit tight on the big toe

Mavics definitely have a narrower fit than Shimano. I have a 45 in both and toe to heel seems close to identical but the Mavic shoes grip the side of my foot much better. The only way to know which suits best is to try them on I guess.

I bought a pair of Mavic Avenge maxi fit last year. Great shoes, the wider fit is great for my feet. I wear a 44 in normal shoes, but buy 45 in cycling shoes.

Sounds like the ones I'm looking at on CRC. And likewise, if I do take the plunge, it'll be May for the debut

I normally wear size 10 shoes. I normally wear size 45 cycling shoes (in shimano or lake) Mavic shoes seem to come in either 44.7 or 45.3
Ive bought two pairs of mavic 45.3 and they fit well.

I've a pair of Mavic scree and I had to go up a couple of sizes to get a decent toe fit that wasn't cramped as I've got a wide gait. The only shoes I've found to fit as they say on the tin are Five Tens. Anything else has been a case of trial & error bumping the sizing up until finding something that fits.

I'm 44 in Shimano and Diadora shoes but found 44 Mavic Avener shoes too snug/tight both width and toebox area.

By way of update I ordered the 2015 Mavic Aksium Elite Maxi (wide) fit size 45.3 with CRC. 50% off-now €57.99. Added a new stem to bring the order over €75 and got €10 off.

The shoes arrived today and are a perfect fit. Many thanks for all your help above.
