why is it acceptable to have front fog lights on permanently?

    a staggering number of cars keep front fogs on permanently.... why?

    Another reason that's rarely mentioned is that even Irish dealers advertise cars as having "spotlights", you hear it on the radio all the time. They're seen in Ireland as being a desirable "extra" to have, not even for use as fog lights.

    They are of no benefit under normal driving conditions.

    General bad use of lights is rampant. DRLs are borderline dangerous. People driving around at dusk thinking their lights are on but yet no rears, dazzling front lights designed for daylight use only on. Some complete muppets have drls headlights and fogs on. Others with sidelights and just fogs on. Boy racers in their A4 diesels think they are driving rally cars. Bad use of lights usually identify a type of driver
    Fog lights: Either boy racer trying to look cool or someone looking to use every option on their car
    No Lights and drls at night; Usually women
    Side lights or no lights in the rain; usually women
    Fog lights drls and headlights at night: Cant see them unfortunately!
