I own a 2000sq ft dormer bungalow that ain't that greatly insulated Built in the boom and we all know what these where built like :(.

In the cavity walls it has areo board at 50mm, the attic in the dormer has 100mm fiberglass, the upright and flat part in the void of the dormer also has this fiberglass. In the slope of the dormer, it has 100mm of xtratherm though this isn't completely filled because I can notic some very small gaps when I look up behind it so can see it hasn't been installed properly.

What I'm thinking of doing is either use more xtratherm or knaf 200 earth roll in the places I mention above, apart from the slope I can't get at.

Another question is the downstairs ceiling. I can slide the 100mm fiberglass into some parts of it when I'm in the dormer void, but seeing as there's some noggins in my way, I'm thinking maybe can I drill some holes into the ceiling and either pump the rest of ceiling where I can't access with beads or expanding foam.

Can this effect my pipes or wires in a negative way at all?

I will be pumping the rest of the cavity and want to know what's best for this.

Haven't got it tested but would say it ain't great. How much is an air tight test?

I lose a lot of air/ heat through a double sliding door. The bottom rail needs is out of line and there's a terrible draft. Have been meaning to get it fixed for awhile now.

OP, you might start with this:
    https://www.nsai.ie/S-R-54-2014-Code-of-Practice.aspx

where you will learn when you penned this
so can see it hasn't been installed properly.
you will see you are mistaken.

It will also help you with the rest of the project.

there are two issues with elec cable:
the ones in domestic dwelling are load designed on the assumption they are air cooled
secondly, some insulations can degrade the insulation on typical PVC covered cables as used in houses.

Trust me, I ain't mistaken. It defo wasn't installed properly. Yes it wasn't the worst out there but I know for fact it wasn't installed 100% as the way it should have.

Where do I stand now with the cables.
