Have a blizzard and loader is getting slow. Bad today loader or lift would not work for few minutes after starting. Have checked the steel filter and few fillings in it but nothing major. Oil seemed bit bubble when checking filter was fine few days ago when toped it up. Am thinking pump is going but any info appreciated. Thanks

Pump I'm afraid. About 550 from memory. Not a big job to change it. Many hours on it?

There are and it's okay checked that when putting filter back. But have noticed that the pump is bit wet with oil. Same set up as massey 298 I think it is

if it's leaking oil somewhere, could mean that it also sucking in air,

it there a separate pump for the power steering on them ?

Yeah prob the pump alright. Simple enough fix, replaced one on a blizzard we had here a few years ago, I don't remember the cost, but I don't think it's as much as White clover says, more €200-€300?

Anytime we were thought the hydraulic pump was gone here, it turned out to be something else, air-lock, water in the paper filter.
Can you strip it down and have a closer look before splashing out?

Will try see if there is air getting in at pump. Only one steel filter that can be cleaned on it. Will puta clock on back and see what ppressure she is putting out.

Cheap as chips to be fair. I remember being quoted €800 for a pump here before and buying it off howford hydraulics in the uk for €302 delivered to my door the next day. Sterling wasn't even particularly good at the time.

I think the bil fitted that pump to a 9880 a few years ago

    I'll ask him to morrow

Just checked oil in engine and it's way over pump is leaking into engine. Thank god I caught that would have used it for a few more days till new pump came and done more damage.

I'd imagine pump is probably fine if it's doing that.

No seal gone on pump I be thinking. Mechanic said pump probably wore out so will see when have it out probably replace it anyway.
