Whenever I receive a MMS message, I am unable to open the message. I am on Vodafone, is this a network issue or phone settings ?

Chances are its a phone settings issue

Think so, checked these earlier and all seem ok.
Don't see any difference

I ahd the same issue on my s5 Mini on o2/Three

Ended up downloading an app to sort it :
