    Hi guys.

Does anyone know who holds the record in the League of Ireland for the most consecutive league goals in the top flight?

    Cheers.

To score in the most consecutive langue matches?

To score the most consecutive goals for a team?

To score the most consecutive goals in the league?

I presume, cos of the Vardy thing lately, it's the most consecutive league games.

Had a quick look and Jason Byrne with 9 consecutive games for Shelbourne (November 2003 to April 2004) seems to be mentioned a bit. Others will know much better than me however.

I saw elsewhere that Denis Behan scored in 10 in a row for Cork City at some stage. No idea if that's true or not.

10 goals in 7 games was what Behan got, in 2007. Think it was league and cup, though. 4 in a cup quarter-final plus replay (a hat-trick in the latter), then the other six spread across league matches.

The first one but all stats are welcome. ;)

According to Dundalk FC historian Jim Murphy our record stands at 7 games which was achieved first by Danny Hale in 66/67 season and then by Cathal Muckian in 78/79.
