Checking prices for 2 adults to go to New York next June next year and the prices online are absolutely off the charts. Any idea's on the most cost effective way to book a week in New York is? First time going there so not sure how best to approach it.

Unsure about Dublin, but Delta have some Killer fares from Shannon-New York. Have you tired them from Dublin?

Also try Skyscanner to see if you can get any good deals.

The following airlines fly Dublin to New York:
    Aer Lingus (Also From Shannon)
    American Airlines
    Delta Airlines (Also From Shannon)
    United Airlines (Also From Shannon)

Have you tried all of those?

The Hopper app is excellent for calculating when to pull the trigger on buying your flights.

Where are you getting your prices OP? A quick check on skyscanner shows €450 return with one stop or €560 direct for the first week in June. This is around the normal price and in my experience the price doesn't hugely fluctuate unless there is some major event. There is plenty competition on the New York/Dublin route (assuming your flying out of DUB)
