Hi would this build run most games on med graphics 30fps

    http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/3DtPZL

It will cost €693 plus €30 shipping.

I plan to get the ssd now to get a hdd later

Anywhere i can cut back on costs? I would like to get the entire(case, moniter, pc, mouse and keyboard) for €800 so i need to cut back a bit somewhere.

i can switch out the Z97 for the ASRock H81M-DGS for €30 cheaper.

    Good move?

    Get the cheaper board.

That'll run most games at High-Ultra 60fps no bother.

Cheaper motherboard and drop the gtx 960 to a 950 then you could put an i5 4460 in to replace the i3. I can think of many new games that do much better with a true quad core cpu. (GTA V, Fallout 4, Black OPs 3)

hmm i wont be playing too many demanding games straight away, i could upgrade to a quad core i5 in the summer.

Easier to upgrade the GPU, depends on how you want to play it though. i5 now isn't a bad call

Do you need a dvd drive to install windows? probably a silly question but i have no experience with this.

I could upgrade the i3 to an i5
I could possibly downgrade the Gtx 960 to a 950 and save €40(i have a feeling this is a bad idea)

If i dont downgrade the GPU it will total at €750
Plus what the case and monitor cost.

I can push the budget from €800 to near €900 to get a decent moniter
While on the subject has anyone got any recommendations on any cheap monitors or cases

No, a USB drive can be used. Doing think I've ever installed an OS from disc actually.

If you can, go for the i5+960

If you can't, it depends on when you'll be able to upgrade next. If in the summer, I'd be inclined to recommend the i5, the i3s are no slugs though.

BitFenix have a few nice cases ast about €50

You should be able to get a second hand 1080p for about €100, new for €150 or so

Yea im going to push up for the i5 and 960
It will cost me €750 leaving roughly €175 for a case and moniter,

    The hunt begins :)

I picked up the acer g227hql from PC World today. Has HDMI and cost €149.99.

I was in a rush to get one so popped in and must say I'm very impressed.

Screen is perfect, nice 21.5" 1920x1080 display and clear. Also has speakers built in, quite happy with purchase tbh.

yea i was looking at that one today, seems like it would do :)

Still have to find somewhere to get a case, anyone know what size ill need for the ASRock H81M-DGS motherboard?

For image quality there is no difference between dvi or hdmi.

That motherboard will mount into either a atx or micro atx case.

Would Dabs be a good place to get a moniter and case?

    Any of these good moniters?

Probably no need for the dvd drive, I've not used mine in years. USB install is much faster.

I'd say get the i5 now save yourself a fair Bitta hassel swapping later on and will save money because what are you going to do with the old i3? If you resell it it's not gonna be worth as Much

Also you can get a nice benq 24" div monitor for around 100-130 if you shop around (I have two and I love them)
