Revez HDT310 Saorview box stuck on boot

I bought a Revez HDT310 saorview box off eBay and when I power it on, an upside down "HSA" is displayed in the LCD, nothing is displayed on the TV and the buttons on the remote control have no impact.
The only thing I can do is power it off and back on again, but the same thing happens.

It looks like a hardware fault, I have contacted the seller and am hoping he will get back to me on Monday.
Just wondering if anyone has one of these boxes and has seen this?

ASH or A5H is corrupt eeprom.

Someone has flashed the wrong firmware to this box or the eeprom is bad.

These boxes dont have a serial/null modem port so the recovery would not be straight forward.

    Give it back.

    Thanks for this info.
Looks like I have been unlucky here and will be hit with cost of shipping it back but I guess that's the risk you take when buying online.

Where did you buy it on ebay ?

Satworld (Satworld.ie) are the distributor for these in Ireland.

You might try them to see if they are willing to help. I know that they have a few accounts on ebay.

A brand new box should not have this on the display at startup and signifies a problem that might exist in a batch...... http://www.revez.eu/index.php?controller=contact

I bought it off an eBay seller called vortex-satellite and they are posting me out a new one today free of charge which I am very happy about.
    Would recommend them.
