Vu Solo2 SE - Remote not working

    I have a vu solo2 SE running Blackhole 2.1.3 and the remote is not working for it.

    It has never worked so initially I was thinking a hardware issue. My friend has the same setup and his remote works fine so I tried that remote with my box and it didn't work so now I am thinking it is a box issue.

    I found instructions online to reset the remote so I tried the following:
    -Hold <<2,7>> for 3 seconds until LED blinks.

    However, as soon as I hold 2,7 the LED for the power button comes on and stays on. It never blinks.

    Anyone got an ideas on what to try next?

    If your box is a clone ? then i,d open up the box and check to see if all connection on the front panel are fitted right or fully pushed in to there sockets this is a problem that often happens with these clones poor parts poor workmanship .

    Have you changed the batteries / did your remote work on your mates box / you should also program & test your remote on your mates box first.

    If your stuck and have a android phone download a free dreambox remote control app from the play store and use that to control your box by your phone for the time been if your not already usein it.

    The box is not a clone. I've changed the batteries twice so thats not it. The next thing I'm planning to check is if my remote works on my mates box but it will be next week before I get the chance. I have the DreamDroid app so I can use the box.

    Do you happen to know if there is an app / add-on that I could install / reinstall that might help?

    Apologies AnswerIs42 when i first seen solo2se was thinking clone you mean you have Solo se have you tried contacting seller if the box is still under warranty ? .

    And If your box says solo2se on the front then it,s a clone and seller has con you don,t do a software update EVER it will brick your box .

    Yeah I'll be contacting the seller next week if I can't fix the problem by then.

    I plugged out all the cables from the box and then plugged them in again and the remote worked. Then it stopped again after about 5-10 minutes so I'm not really sure what that means. A quick google points to some sort of interference with the IR signal so I'm now looking at trying to move the box around and away from the router / TV to see if that makes any difference.
