Change job to recruitment

    Hi All,

I'm contemplating moving jobs to become a recruitment consultant, currently I'm a sales manager for a food company earning in the mid to high 30k's.
Am I mad to be interested in changing career entirely to move into recruitment? Realistically for anyone who does work in recruitment what is the yearly salary? I've been doing research on the internet but depending where I look I'm getting differing opinions on salary etc.

    Many thanks,
    LFC

Literally anywhere between 30k and 100k++

Depends on sector, location, experience you have (incl experience outside of recruitment) and type of recruitment.

You are asking a question similar to how much does a new car cost?

Thanks that is very true... Personally I'm in cork so would be looking to stay in the area and ideally would like to get into recruiting for sales personnel as that's where my experience is... I have 4 years experience post university and worked in sales all through college so have decent experience in that sort of role....

I wish you the very best of luck if you do. A genuine person seems very hard to find in the industry. Look at other posts. Recruitment agencies have a terrible reputation in this country. Hard not to apply without them but you get so much BS that if I could I would try the direct way.
