Whats the best tool to use for a basement floor??

A puddle pump is your man here, have used them before will get it down low enough that you can get rest with mop & buckets. Bigger hire companies i'd guess sam hire, HSS etc etc

Puddle pumps are grand but will still leave 1/2 inch of water. If the basement is prone to flooding id seriously consider making a sump for the pump to sit in to so all the water will gather in it for future events.

An aquavac should do the job you can hire out large ones.
