    Pity that happened - annoying!

Why not state roughly what part of the country you are in - one of the mink trappers on here may be living nearby and may drop out and set up traps to help you catch it.

Great advice! And to the op, stay away from using illegal methods! Cage, and spring traps, are the only traps mentioned in legislation!;)

You can't catch them without a trap , ya tool.... however you could improvise witha piece of wavin.

You could get a length of wavin pipe and burry at a slight angle into the ground throw some rotten fish or rotten duck into it, the mink will go into the pipe and then cant get out.

But if you know where the mink was getting into your ducks use a no.6 fenn trap to trap it, just put it beside the hole they were getting in and bam.

    I'm in Kilkenny,
Sure obviously you can't catch them without a trap I meant is here a makeshift one I could use, I already have one of those pipes down so I'll check tomorrow

As I already said lad, those makeshift ones are illegal, so just stick to the propper traps!

If you do catch a mink in the make-shift trap it will be alive and fairly mental - have you planned for such a situation and what you'll do?

Wait and see if there are any mink trappers on here in Kilkenny area who may help you out - setting the proper traps.
