Don't know if it can be done or not.
Has anyone ever converted an open storage tank to covered slats. If it can be done what kind of money would it cost

It can be done, the cost depends on the size.

There was an article about this on the farmers journal at one stage! Google will find it
looked like an excellent job ! Not ask the open tank needs to be slatted just the amount you want

Anything can be done but you would be as well to get an engineer to see can the existing structure carry the slats and roof

Just after stepping out another covered tank that is a run off tank for a yard that is never used now.
    It's 6mt by 2mt.
Not familiar with slat lay out but could slats go over that and the depth of the house go behind that. ie end up with a unit let's say 6mt wide x 6mt deep. Or am I talking waffle
Only ever need to house 10 - 12 animals.
    is tha big enough ?
