Boardgame idea for Christmas

Got the folks staying with us this Christmas.. first time ever.. they usually do Christmas with the sister

I think a boardgame might be a good idea in the evening

Anyone got any good suggestions for four adults?

Not monopoly or cluedo - done to death.

The Game of Life. Had many a fun family Christmas playing this. It's far more light-hearted than monopoly.

Trivial Pursuit (or dispute as it is often referred to in ours) is good if you're got trivia heads in the family.

Go for it so! Might see if I can grab a copy for this Christmas myself. It was always an aunt who brought that game over when I was younger.

Coup we love - I had a few non gamers mad about it!

We do have a few kids here and they love telestrations - one of my best buys!

Ticket to ride is by far my favourite and I got scattergories which turned out to be great laugh but can lead to a bit of a debate!

On the lookout for a new buy for Christmas myself!

If you're going to be tipsy, you might not be able to concentrate on rules, but there are some that really come into their own after a tipple.

There's one called Balderdash, which can be brilliant, but not as much since they took out the movie plot category (you're given a movie title and have to write a 2 sentence outline and convince the others yours is the real one)
Cards Against Humanity is good fun, but I don't know if I'd want to hear my nearest and dearest say the words "Bigger blacker d*ck"
