Not a bad deal in Curry's/PCWorld for the new Chromecast - haven't seen any other offers for Chromecast yet

    Link

It's only a saving of 9 yoyos.. but money is money!

It's for the audio one also - nice..

These make good Xmas presents for non smart TV people, I used to have a Chromecast but it broke, have a smart TV now so wouldn't need it....

Would be a good deal to get them between 2 people.
    Does a person really need 2 ?

    Two TV's?

Main difference with the new Chromecast is better 5GHz support

I think the new one also has 3 antenna's compared to 1 in the first Chromecast - supposed to offer better wifi reception

5Ghz wifi support is the big change. Also it hangs off rather than sticks out the socket by default which can be handy for tighter installs.

I've four TVs in the house; and will be getting an audio one for a room that already has a TV but has a better sound system.

Can you watch tvplayer with these? Also, we only have iphones/pads, do these work with chromecast?

Bought one a few weeks ago, very disappointed, an android box does so much more and although more expensive, there's no comparison.

    Read the description.
Chromecast works with iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Mac, Windows laptops and Chromebook.

Cheers for that, "this" description on their site is the reason I asked:
Mirror your Android phone screen or Chrome browser
See anything on your Android phone or tablet on your TV, or use your laptop to cast any website from the Chrome browser. If it's online, you can cast it.

Do these come with any free Play store credit? I saw a deal for the Chromecast 2 on HUKD. £50 in Argos with £20 free credit.....any chance of a similar thing here?

You get a couple months free with Google Music from what I can remember.
