Dublin bus RSS feeds for app

Hi, looking to make an app which uses the real-time information from dublin bus. Basically There are many buses I can get at different stops that go to where i want to go, im looking to develop an app for myself thats send me an alert 10 minutes before one of the buses I want will be at the stop. Yes I have programming knowledge, would this be possible to do?

Thats close to what im trying to make. The difference however is that I wish to get information from multiple selected stops and multiple selected buses. I will hop on each bus I could get home a few time and time it, then I will find the average time for each bus to get me home and enter it into the app. So the end result will be when I click a button(which will mean I am close to going home) the app will send me an alert telling me when the best bus is arriving and at which stop. I think for this app I will be using SAX parser but still have a fair bit of learning to do in terms of getting communication with the real time info.

On Windows Phone Nokia's Here Transit app does this a nice way but without the alarms. It can show you different modes of transport for the same journey. So is it quicker to get the bus, train, or walk.



I'd like what your suggesting for the trains. Often I'm between train routes, stations. Most apps don't give you combined view, they fixate on a single train, or single bus route. Love to do an app myself for it. But never get around to it.
