Post dating a contract

    How does post dating a contract work?
    If a person were to sign and write a month and a half's in the future date, once the future date passes is it kosher?

    Why is it being post-dated.

    If there is any element of fraud in the post-dating it will be unenforceable

    It's a credit agreement. The lender post dated their letter; the borrower would have to respond, not to have the repayment deducted by dd
