    Hi All,

Does anyone know where the fan for the ideal Classic M3050 can be got either new or reconditioned?
A work colleague was told by his RGI that it is obsolete and that he needs a new boiler due to this.
Surely there are reconditioned units available somewhere in Ireland for his RGI to fit?

    Kind regards,

    Kieran

I was checking on parts arena, it's not listed as obsolete, have you tried speaking with Davies (Ideal agents) or Ideal in the UK?

    Hi DGOBS,

Yes, I spoke to Davies today who confirmed that it was obsolete since
    2013.
I haven't tried the UK tbh after searching ebay etc without success.
A new or second hand part would suffice until he can afford a new system.
Surely the service guys have reconditioned units etc for repair call outs?
If you have any ideas where it could be got it would be very much appreciated.
Or if any RGI in Cork have one to supply and fit that would be perfect.

    Kind Regards,

    KMB

If you are looking to try in England I can give you a couple of places which would be worth a shot. Not sure if I can say their names on here ? Maybe a long shot but worth a couple of phone calls I'd say.

    Hi dersawazzie,

Can you please pm me the names of the UK companies which you think may have them?
Thanks for the replies everyone, hopefully the UK will work out.

    Kind Regards,

Naturally a RGI engineer must be used when working on any gas appliance. The OP has stated a RGI has been involved in the fault finding process, and is asking for assistance in locating a part for a RGI to install.

Advice was given on removing fan, bearing etc from a gas appliance.
    Not open to debate. Thanks

    Hi all,

Tried a few places in the UK without success and a local RGI said that he could get one but rang after to say it was not available.
He is still badly stuck and any help would be appreciated.
We would of course get his RGI to purchase this to fit.
All we need is a place to get it.

DGOBS,Do you know if it is definitely available on parts arena?
Do you have a link or phone number for me to pass on to our RGI?
Or I am happy to give you his RGI details if it will help.

Thanks everyone for their help and input and hopefully we can source this soon.

    Regards,

    Kieran
