    Hi.
If you were to book a holiday to the Maldives - would there be savings to be made booking independently or is booking a package more cost effective?

If so - are there some particular specialists who would be better to use?

Any recommendations for somewhere to stay for 1 week on honeymoon on a budget of around €4K?

We booked with purely maldives - a UK company. Very good price for 10 days. We went to kuredu resort - highly recommend! We are defo planning to go back for our 5th anniversary already!

So I think the Maldives has now been replaced in our thoughts by South Africa & Mauritius (can't seem to change the thread title)...

Anyway - has anybody here done Cape Town & Mauritius for a honeymoon?
If so - did you book independently or with an operator?

I'm trying to get the best price possible for Cape Town & Mauritius combo but it's coming in fairly expensive when I price it separately.
    Flights alone costing 3.5K.

Anyone got any ideas of an operator who might be able to get a cheaper package?
    Cheers

I booked our flight direct with Emirates and the Maldives(Kuramathi) inc transfers with TravelLab - was quoted €1800 more for the exact same package with an Irish operator!

If you have a look on Tripadvisor there are numerous recommendations of agents and they can help narrow down your choice of Island based on your requirements.
