Is there anything you could say to an ex that you make you excessively proud and so glad you moved on to brighter and better things?

I see no good reason to do this order than some form of retribution or revenge that you may feel needs to be carried out.

Fair enough but while it might be fun to think of several things I could say to an ex, it's very telling that I might feel the need to do so.

I was trying to be sappy with the last post.

But no - once I cut off ties with an ex I have no desire to "big up" myself to them. And if I did - it would just leave me wondering about myself to be honest. What kinda person would I be to big up our break up? Not a nice one I think.

I try to maintain a good relationship with my ex's and I even make the reasons we broke up a joke in our discussions. Like askin' "does he ever do that thing with his foots that used to P you right off?"

But to get serious. You have two choices I think with your ex's. Cut off contact - or remain friends. The third choice is to be "That one" who tries to send "look at me and how big I am now" signals back at the ex. I wouldn't wanna be that person - thats all I will say

Ever since I split from my ex husband the thing I am most proud of is that I was fair to him when we split and we are still on good terms tbh.

I didn't leave him so I could look back and gloat, I left him cos we just weren't us anymore.

I look back now and realise I held him back, I look at him now and am thankful we split as he has achieved a greater happines then he had then.
