You can change thread title to "big fact" !

    http://irishdealsdaily.com/argos-gift-voucher/

The very popular free gift voucher offer from Argos is returning! From the 4th to the 8th of December 2015 Argos Ireland are offering customers, both online and in store, a free Argos gift voucher. Those who spend over €50 will get €5 voucher and those who spend over €100 receive a €10 voucher, purchases of gift vouchers do not count towards the promotion.

If you are purchasing more than one expensive item that will generate two vouchers it’s a good idea to pay for them separately and use the voucher you receive for the first purchase on the second item.

BTW, if you've nothing to spend your voucher on before it expires, just buy some random (returnable) item with it and then return that item for refund. You'll get a standard gift-card back that's valid for three years. :)

Usually only a few weeks. I imagine the current ones expire on December 24th.

If it was on multiple items and they're unopened, well worth bringing them back and repurchasing individually (using the vouchers from the previous purchase of course).

It was all Christmas presents. I know a a manager over there so might chance my arm and see if she can do anything with the receipt.

Most items in Argos have a no quibble 30 day return/change of mind particularly if unopened to any store - not just limited to where you bought them. Exemptions are usually jewellery and other hygiene items. But if it's all sealed I'd still give it a go ... bound to be a sea of people returning recent gift purchases to rebuy and obtain vouchers.

Even if some items were opened/used, you could just buy these items again and then return with the original receipt.
