Triax tri link problem

    Hi

I have a triax trilink to distribute my ferguson ariva box and my sky hd box around the house to a few different rooms. The problem I have is the sky channel on 21 works fine, the ariva channel on 30 keeps breaking up. I have swapped channels and no luck. I connected scart out on ariva to tv and no issues so looks like it's not scart in that's the problem. I am in Clare so Meaghara is my saorview host and I stayed away from 48 and 55

Any ideas? I have turned off wifi, tried different cables but no luck.

    Thanks

So you used the SCART loopthrough from the Tri-Link, not just directly from Ariva to TV?

    Yes correct, sorry.

You'd have to think some fault in the Tri-Link then, & try another one, I suppose.

Thanks, I was thinking that was my only option alright.

Another thing, in the Tri-Link features list is 'Automatically turn-off modulation function when SCART has no AV input'.

If this is controlled by the voltage on pin 8 of the SCART lead, maybe it's possible a dodgy connection there could upset the modulator, while leaving the AV signal to the TV unscathed?

I tried a different scart but no luck. I will take a look at the scart input on the modulator later.

    Thanks

Quick update, just blew into the scart in and reconnected and way hay, all seems good again. So must have been a bit of dirt causing the trouble. Thanks for your help
