Anyone have any experience or idea of this and the cost involved?

I have a new Leisure CK100F232S cooker to hook up in our newly renovated house. During the building works I had the plumber run a hose from outside up to the back of the Cooker ready for the RGI guys to hook it up (has to be cylinder gas)

I had a quote of €650 to supply x2 LPG cylinders, their regulator, connectors and special metal hose for back of Cooker as its an electric oven and Gas hob style cooker.

Does €650 sound normal/OK? I was totally blown away by the price to be honest.

Sounds cheap as chips considering they're joining onto an illegal pipe install by a non Rgi and signing there name to it

Yeah, thanks alot there Columbo. Real helpful input. I can't see where I said my plumber wasn't RGI registered though?

But let me allay your fears none the less, my original plumber was RGI registered and it is the correct type of pipe he installed. As confirmed by the crowd who quoted me €650 when they came out to inspect/quote for the job.

just the bottles could be as much as 350, auto changeover regulator, tails, "special hose", testing, having the equipment to test, the knowledge to know how,,,,,cheap.
