Does anyone know where Teagasc are running these 1 day course commencement sessions to comply with the national reserve for starting the course before 31/12/15. They announced about a month ago that they would be running these courses (1 day) around the country in December but I can't come across any of them. Has anyone heard anything about these or was it a bit of spin by Teagasc? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks.

Is that the 1 day commencement course where you just do 1 day and come back some time next year and resume the course or is it the 2 night a week one?

Yes 6pm to 10pm. €250 deposit to be paid by 4th dec.
My understanding is course will be one day per month thereafter.

Is that the distance learning course?

Roscommon Teagasc are starting Dec 8th 10am-12noon to comply with the rules.
The course starts properly in spring '16.

So at this stage anybody that has to do the Green Cert to comply as a young farmer/ national reserve applicant will have to pay the Teagasc €250 course deposit before they find out if they are successful in getting entitlements, makes sense that

Are they strict in making you attend every month. I see some colleges are offering night courses now like westport, whats the story with them?
