Hi my son and daughter will be going to St Olafs in Balally, Dundrum. My son is starting in 2016. We live in the parish.

I was wondering what are the typical non fee paying secondary schools that both my son and daughter could go to. St Benildus seems to be the main one for the boys are there others? Also what are the main one for girls and are there any mixed secondary schools?

    Many thanks

Hi OP closest non fee paying mixed school is St Tiernans. I can't really think of any others in the locality. TBH not many locals sent their children there. I prefer mixed schools but will be sending my son to St Benildus.

For girls St Raphaelas has a very good reputation.

The most popular girls schools are St Raphaelas and Jesus and Mary College ( Our ladies grove) .
The most popular boys schools are St Benildus, De La Salle Churchtown and Oatlands in Stillorgan.

Ballinteer Community School and St Tiernans are the only mixed non-fee paying secondary schools in the area, AFAIK.
