Having issues with not been able to get a constant light as opposed to a flashing light on this circulating pump.think this is the reason for my boiler cutting out as the water can't get away.lts a firebird systempac which was working fine until I drained it down ,anyone any ideas I would be very grateful

Turn the dial on the pump to zero and then back up. I think that's it. But it shouldn't matter to the working of the boiler. The pump will circulate irregardless of how it's set. How many radiators do you have? Is there an air vent on the boiler.? How big is the boiler?

You have to hold it to zero for a few seconds.

If you want there's a flushing setting that gives high flow.

You hold it for about ten seconds to zero and it ramps right up for ten / 15 mins to blow out air.

Yes I have reset the pump a good few times this way but it says when the pump is working correctly there should be a constant light not blinking.the boiler has only 6 rads and is a systempac model that has everything factory built in.it is a c26 model and was commissioned by a plumber.buy what you're saying maybe this is a symptom of some other problem, many thanks for your reply

Yes I have done that, maybe it's something else and if boiler runs correctly for a while it will stop blinking itself thanks

When you say the boiler keeps cutting out, do u mean you have to reset it each time? Or do you mean it reaches temperature too quick

It seems to reach temperature and then cut out and will not fire till it cools

You have a 26kw boiler heating 6 radiators. That could be a lot of your problem. A stronger pump like lowara might help but it's not the answer

    Are six rads too many?

Way too little. As an old wise man says on here, its like trying to get an elephant into a rabbit hole. IE, the boiler is way too big

How many would be better I can add on a towel rail and more rads quite easily.this was a special order boiler that wasn't cheap and I specified it was only going to be 5 rads not even 6 I always felt it was not the one I needed but I was told bigger was better than smaller

No firebird wouldn't be the best boiler and most would agree with me. Although they do go down as far as 12kw which would suit u
