Walker Saorview Box keeps moving channels

My parents have the Walker WP12DTB-R since the time of the digital switchover and every time I visit, the channels have been moved all over the place.
I've moved them back into positions my parents like,
    1. Rte 1,
    2. Rte2,
    3. BBC1 etc. etc.

Without fail, after a short period of time (couple of days) the channels move down, so RTE1 goes to the last channel on the list eg, channel 224. When that has happened then RTE 2, goes into Channel 1, and all the rest follow suit moving up 1 channel.
Later, more channels start moving to the last channels on the guide and within no time your channels are all mixed between the high 200's and the low single digits.

Has anyone came across this before? Is there a solution?
Maybe time for a new telly but this has been a constant thing since the box was installed.

    Thanks.

PS. the box is never unplugged so always has power.

You could try disabling LCN, see if that works.

It's quite odd though, as I'd expect LCN to move a whole set together.

Maybe there's a software update for that box that may address the issue?

Could be wrong but a sourview box should not be picking up BBC
Maybe the aerial is not pointed at the right transmitter

You dont say where you are but maybe your receiving overspill see this article

I'm quite sure the OP wants to be able to receive BBC etc via Freeview, if available! But wants to prevent the box reordering channels after the user does so

This happens when the box is in standby. So if you avoided putting the box in standby at all and powered the box down completely at the socket when you want it off I would expect the channels would stay put.

I know someone with a Walker Combo (Terr/Sat) WP645TS-HD box. They often go through the channels with the up/down buttons on the remote rather than entering the number. They never ever watch RTE Junior (7) but do often watch RTE 1+1 (11) and sometime RTE News (21).
I thought it would be a good idea to move the RTE Junior channel out of the way up to a high channel number, so one less press of Ch+ to get up to RTE1+1
However after putting the box in standby (from terrestrial mode) for a few minutes the channel then reverts back to its usual number.
But if you put the box in standby from satellite mode, the terrestrial channel(s) the user has moved will stay put.

Same thing happens if you delete the channel, it will reappear after being in standby from terrestrial mode for a few minutes

There seems to be no way of disabling it (apart from avoiding going to standby from terrestrial mode) or overriding this for specific channels
