    ‘Gallipoli – The Final Days’
    By
    Foster Summerson.

Foster gave a talk on the Gallipoli landings in April 2013, now he brings us the story of the withdrawal from the peninsula.

He has been a member of the Gallipoli Association since 1994, and is currently a Trustee.
He was editor of the Association’s journal, The Gallipolian, from 2008 until November this year.
Although he has no family links with the campaign, Foster has been interested in Gallipoli since the early 1960s when he worked alongside veterans of the campaign.
He visited the peninsula on a number of occasions between 1994 and 2008.

Foster, who now lives in County Antrim, is a past Secretary and Chairman of the Essex Branch of the Western Front Association and edited
their monthly Branch Newsletter for a number of years.
He was a guide at the Imperial War Museum in London for 16 years and is a member of the Council of Friends of the Imperial War Museum.
As normal the meeting will be held in the Lecture Theater at Collins Barracks and the doors will open at 2.00 for a 2.30 start.
