    is it still in alpha?

I bought it about a year back and couldn't get into it - constantly ganked for no reason or attacked by bugged zombies :/

    Yeep, still alpha.

It runs ok but they removed the zeds on the last update so it's a zed free world with bandits and the like looking to fcuk your shyte up. Fun if you liking dying a lot. I need me some friends.

Never tried it, I always wanted to try the mod. I've been a fan of ARMA since it was operation flashpoint, but it's such an involved game I rarely go near it. I bought ARMA 3 more as a way to support the developer more than I expected I'd play it alot.

Got it about a year ago too, zombies were bugged and same story, it became a pvp sniper hunting / hunger games esque kinda deal.

I remember on the original mod i got a map that was winter themed, you needed to find cold gear to survive, it was loosely based around stalker, there was bloodsuckers in it, and a lab with a gauss rifle (i think) - was arguably one of the more pve types of map that i liked.

Nothing got the blood / adrenaline pumping more than looting a popular area, i'll give it that.

I've said it before, i wish there were more co-op survival-oriented games out there. A good contender was Project zomboid, which is constantly updated. but its cartoony and based on survival / zombies, kinda frowns on using guns since it attracts hoards. 11/10 would play with pve-minded boardsies.

I have been laying a game I got for free on PSN called ZOMBI which is pretty damn good. less about running around shredding zombies but about using stealth and lures to avoid and outmaneuver the zombies. supplies are limited and risk = reward. Very good game.
