NCT Wrong Disc Date

I got my car nct'd last year and got a disc with expiry on 01/16 on it - never really paid any attention, stuck it into window and off I went. I got a text message the other day saying my new test is due in 2017 - went onto NCT website to check details for my car and it confirmed that I am not due till 2017. Car is 9 years…

I got a text message the other day saying my new test is due in 2017 - went onto NCT website to check details for my car and it confirmed that I am not due till 2017. Car is 9 years old in April so that goes with the guidelines of every 2 years for cars under 10 years old. Question is do I contact the original test centre re the wrong disc or NCT themselves? thanks.

Whst date did you pass the NCT on and what date was it due?

Passed last Feb I think it was and was due last jan

Seems odd, any chance the text was referring to a car you previously owned?

No the reg matched up and checked the reg on NCT site and message was it was not due within the 90 days of end of jan 2016. Will give the NCT a call at lunch and see what they say.
