Painting interior panel doors.

    I have a couple of panel doors to paint with finish coat. ( I have them undercoated with white waterbased paint. )
    I find that quick dry paint (finish coat) dries so fast that its nearly impossible to paint a full door without leaving marks somewhere. I used Crown quick dry gloss on one door but Im not happy with the result. A roller cannot be used with this paint as per instructions.
    I would appreciate any suggestions on paint type for next few doors. I will use a roller if I can for a smooth finish.
    Thanks

    Thanks for reply...
    Is Dulux satinwood an oil or waterbased paint.

    Do you stir paint to apply...some paints look jellylike..
    I will be painting panel doors...can I complete the job using just the roller.

    Any other tips for a good smooth job welcome.

    Thanks again.

    Follow the instructions on the tin, it will tell you if you should stir the paint or not.

    Thanks for that advice:::::
    Reading the instructions is always a good idea, however, very often people using a product on a daily basis find the best practical way to use for best results.
    Tks

    Non-stir (non-drip) paint is designed so the action of the brush/roller loosens the paint during application. Stirring it can leave you an extra runny liquid which doesn't give the best result. If you did stir it just leave the tin to settle back to normal.
