I bought this motherboard more than 5 years ago now but recently it stopped working.
The problem with it is that once I turn on the psu a red power led on the board flashes and you can hear ticking from the psu, kind of like it supplies power for a split second and then off in an endless cycle.

Questions: 1:How do I know its the motherboard?
I have tested all of the other parts on another system.

2:What have you tried to get it working?
I have taken the whole pc apart and breadboarded it on the motherboard box with only 1 stick of ram, an i7 920 and a 500w Corsair power supply.

3:Did you swap the power supply?
Yes, I have already tried swapping the psu with a verified working one and still the same problem occurs.

4:Does anything else happen when it gets power?
No. All it does is flash an led, no beeps or display.

Does anyone have any idea what happened to it or how to fix it?
