DHL sending invoices three months after payment

I ordered some items from Amazon Canada in August. The package was delivered by DHL who demanded €33 at the door when they delivered it. I paid it in cash.

Now I get an invoice for the amount.

    Is this usual practice?

The same happened with me. I just emailed them to confirm payment had already been made.

Had the same thing happen to me. The delivery driver pocketed the money in my case, which was denied. But since I stupidly did not get proof of payment I was forced to pay them again before they sent someone to recover the money owed.

It has been 6 years and I am still waiting for the short sh*te to deliver a package to my door again so I can rip him a new one :pac:

Amazon usually allow you pay the vat and duty on their site so no payment is due when it arrives at the door.

Also if DHL have you number they usually ring in advance of the parcel giving the amount due and take card payment over the phone and email the receipt.
