    Hi Guys,

My wife is the lucky owner of a 151 Volvo V40.

It's the SE model & it came with leather seats.

My query is if any of you folk know if its possible to upgrade the seats to heated?

Possibly the heating element is already there??

Anyone know / Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tanka

I take it the car doesn't have the Winter Pack?

It's possible the wiring is present but the seats doesn't have the elements and there is no buttons.
You can remove the blanked button and have a look behind to see if wiring is there.

aftermarket heated seat kits never look fun imo. Sometimes seat heaters are a dealer fit extra. On a car that new id be inclined to take it to a dealer and ask what the retrofit cost would be. Guesses are around the 3-500 mark.

Aye, at least get a quote from dealer before you go anywhere else.
For a new car it'll be worth it.

Also heated seats are soooo good in the winter.

As Eric said, on a new car its worth the dealer retrofitting them. I installed aftermarket elements in all four seats of my last car, underneath the hides. Not for the faint of heart and very time consuming.

For what it's worth I saw heated seat covers in Lidl yesterday....if she really really must have :-)

    Hi To All,

    Many thanks for the replies.

No the car does not have any extras such as winter pack - its the basic SE version.

Yup the lovely leather was great all summer - but freezing now.

I will advise her to call the dealer to enquire about it.

    Best Regards

    Tanka

would they not interfere with the airbags in the seat?
