Bosch though is 680 euros with the top drawer.
I'm not familiar with belling as a brand...

Belling are part of Glen Dimplex, they're around a while, plenty of older Belling cookers out there. No idea what they're like nowadays though.

    Here's a different belling for €319
    http://powercity.ie/?par=45-17&action=brandstory
Its not a 600mm wide one though, only 450mm wide.

They do have the 600mm one for €335 though, and Beko for €419, and nordmende for €454

Just keep an eye on the place settings as all dishwashers aren't laid out the same, I can't get 2 dinner plates side by side on mine. No point in getting the fancy cutlery drawer if you're still stuck for space.

I have a belling cooker which is fantastic but foolishly I went with a belling dishwasher but had to replace it after 2.5yrs. Useless machine, the runners kept snapping of and the cycles were very restrictive, shortest one was 2.05 hrs!! Felt it was very flimsy overall. Replaced it with a Bosch & haven't looked back!

Never heard of them but had a good look through reviews on line and they seem good, three year warranty too. Amazed at that spec for the price... thing must be nearly silent..
I think I'm going to go with this one..

Belling is what you buy for a year or two and then replace it with a bosch.

Never seen one of those trays before. Pretty neat, shame I hadn't seen this before I bought myself a replacement dishwasher a month or so ago. Yes. Replacement is a bosch.

I don't know about the Blomberg but the Bosch has a 29 minute quick wash which is what we use most of the time as we rinse everything before it goes in the machine.

I was once told Siemens make the best dishwasher.. We have some cheap crap included 'free' with our kitchen.. Had a top spec Siemens machine before that we bought secondhand and it was a great machine

Have the Bosch FD9202 which has the top loading tray. Super machine but is about 5 years old so maybe look for latest version of this. Also had that Belling one as we bought that for new house we moved into. It's a piece of crap in comparison. Ended up paying to have plumber move the old Bosch into new house and put Belling into old house

Edit: Bosch is very very quiet machine also. You would not hear it apart from beep at end to tell you it's finished.

We had a Siemens before the Bosch, it was crap.

Siemens and bosch are a joint venture for kitchen appliances, e.g. the exact same with different badges.

I'm going to have a look at the Bloomberg tommorrow and the bosch. Powercity are running a promo on bosch next week so it might be reduced a little..
    This is the bosch one.
It only uses 6.5 litres per wash.

Thanks for pointing out the Bloomberg. I had never heard of them, have downloaded the manual and went through it. Pleasantly surprised...

so the blomberg LDVN2284 is a Beko DIN28320 . Parent company owns both brands. Nothing bad about that. specification are almost the same. They make dishwashers for others...

Blomberg has some additional features, built in dryer and 3 year warranty and 43 dB noise level compared to 45 db on the beko.

beko has a 6 litre eco wash compared to 10 litre on the blomberg and a built in projector timer for the floor in order to see whats left in the cycle.
they also both have the same energy consumption at kWh/cycle 0.92

cutlery tray is in the same position..

off to look at the bosch

those projector timers are great. wish mine has one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,661 ✭✭✭Crimsonforce

I purchased the Beko one in the end.
I actually tried to buy the blomberg one but it was taken off the euronics website, when I contacted them they said it was out of stock and there was none in the country.

So purchased the beko and will install it tommorrow...

Siemens and bosch are a joint venture for kitchen appliances, e.g. the exact same with different badges.

If thats the case, then I could recommend a Bosch, have a secondhand Siemens, which I was told was only a few years old, and looks almost new.
I must look up the model number to see what it's stated dB is, I'd notice it was on in the same room most of the time, but at others you nearly have to check to see if it's still running, seems to depend on the part of the cycle.
