Any suggestions or recommendations on which charity to donate them to?

I want them to be appreciated and sold with by a worthy charity who really need it. My gut feeling is to give them to StVdeP as they do superb work. most of the books are in excellent condition and have served their purpose in my life. There's about 20 books that are relatively specialised and are worth more to people who want them. At least 8 of the books are out of print for many years.

I will never read them again and am happy to donate them.

    Well?

Charlie Byrne will give you store credit for them if they want them. We dropped two full boxes into the Cancer Shop a few months back and they seemed very grateful.

As men said try Charlie Byrnes for credit, if they are not interested in what you have take them up the road to one of the charity shops.

OP, since some of the books are out of print and are of a specialist topic, you could sell them on Ebay, Done Deal, Adverts etc. and give the money to charity then?

If they are a specialist topic, maybe see if the University library is interested in any of them?

I gave them all to SVdeP last week and they were very grateful.
