LV Generator Earthing

I have a query in relation to the earthing of an LV generator.

We have a 4pole LV generator feeding an ATS board that feeds a 5pole compressor. The generator has a combined neutral and earth, a TN-C-S system. The compressor manufacturer has advised that a separate earth and neutral is required, a TN-S system.

Is this a simple case of removing the neutralising link back at the generator? What would be the neutral and earth fault paths? Is the neutral taken care of in the generator windings and the earth taken to ground via an earth rod?

Can the existing site earth nest be used?

Can't reply properly now but no, do not remove neutralizing point.
    Both systems are neutralized.

The generator supply is not TN-C-S - it is TN-S.

You will not be bringing a PEN conductor from the generator but separate neutral and earth through an RCD. But for neutral to be neutral it must be earthed and therefore the link is essential, along with an electrode for an earth reference.
