It doesn't say there were none, just that D15 wasn't in the top 20.

Those figures are very poorly presented. By showing offences 'per 100,000 of population', it skews the impression. Pearse Street district is shown at 3,903 (per 100k) when the resident population is very low in what is a business district. It probably means there was something like 200 actual incidents, which is realistic in a busy partying area.

Likewise, the real figures for other areas would be more like; Dun Laoghaire - 42 (109/100k) Lucan - 39 (98/100k) and Skerries - 8 (79/100k). Does anyone really feel 8 public order offences in 6 months deserves Skerries to be on some sort of list of shame?

I'd be curious to see the D15 (Blanch district) figures in that context.

It's a tricky way to show figures, but it makes sense to base it on the population of the area rather than just flat numbers.

I personally think the numbers highlight the disconnect between they huge hype the media whip up about public order crime and the actual level of offences (I thought things were a lot worse tbh)
But I guess the media are mainly in the business of selling papers and ads, reporting the facts is not really conducive to good sales/page visits.

Blanchardstown public order offenses would be pretty low due to that lack of a "pub" and nightclub district. Most people in the area go to the city to party so you don't have a large amount of people coming onto the street at 2 or 3 in the morning.
