I am and I love their take on it. It has a strange mix of serious/comedy which works. Classic example - Murphy using his powers to make zombies pole dance. Totally wtf but fits with Murphy's character so fits the show.

The special effects are great, they have a goal and tbh, I find the show more consistent than TWD. With TWD you don't know if you are getting an action show or a soap opera. I don't know how I'd describe Z Nation but I would recommend watching it for some zombie entertainment.

^^^ Just to add, I don't think Z Nation is better than The Walking Dead, just they are more consistent.

Yea, I LOVED season 1 .... like you say, bit of comedy, plenty of gore, and good characters (and not afraid to kill off a main char now and again .... keeps us viewers on our toes!).

Season 2 is just a good (only saw few episodes, and recording / saving the rest for a special night in when the OH heads out for Crimbo party!)..... gotta love The Murphy!

Didn't like it at first but it's carved it's own way, I don't think there's anything in it that could be considered serious. It's dumb, but it's the good kind of dumb.

I just can't warm to it. Too American FX early noughties cheesey. I would have enjoyed a darker grittier take. But I suppose it does fill a certain light hearted niche.

Z Nation is brilliant because its so different. Blasters and other types of zombies like the weed zombies are fantastic ideas. Last episode of season 1 had me in stitches with the viagra comment :D

I think it can be quite dark, it's just very comic book about it.

It is cheesy, you do have to basically buy into the world. At least it's consistent in it's own world.
