can anyone give a bit of advise on which front bale lifter to buy. A friend says McHale but there is none sold locally. It seems to be Rossmore or Fleming. Maybe someone would have a bit of information. Thanks in advance

Bought a mchale soft hands handler this year and very happy with it. Only issue I find find is that the grease nipples can be awkward to get to sometimes.

I've used the mchale, Fleming, Conor/rossmore and goweil type of roller type handler and I'd put the Fleming bottom of the pile. And that's purely because of the back plate of it. Found you couldnt put any pressure on bales in the stack with out it marking the wrap as it's just a big lump of channel.

The goweil is also down bottom as there's only 2 bars out in hoops and if you push a bale the wrap gets ripped against the bolts that hold pins in. Very good handler apart from that and very well built, has a link between the legs that makes them move in and out in symmetry, takes a bit of getting used to tho. Expensive too...

Much of a muchness between the other 2 tho. The Conor one I used had blocks welded on the top of the frame so when you close the rollers in completely they can't sway left and right, helps a bit if your carrying bales and cornering with them on a lighter tractor as the bale doesn't swing out when you turn, but at the same time can make lighter bales roll off, where the arms of the mchale swing out with the bale holding onto it

First thing really is what type of handler are u after roller or hands. I've only used Mchale and nugent benn honest I tink there as a much of a much. I have a nugent hands excellent way of drawing bales. Only brought it as it was a lot cheaper than Mchale strongly thinking of buying the quicke flexi grip heard good reports.
