I hadn't been in town in over a week and saw this cafe had closed. Anyone know what happened as the the front door glass is boarded up and seems to have taken a impact.

I had seen they weren't popular earlier in the year when there was a facebook post circulating about them calling the gardai to remove a homeless guy begging on the lane.

I don't know which one you're talking about but cafés are ten a penny.

It was beside the MCB tearooms. Don't know how long it was open.

Passed today. Looked like a breakin or landlord taking repossession.

Yeah, I had a feeling they owned the premises as they seemed to have renovated it. I was only in there once or twice but it did seem like they sunk a load into it.
So as afar as you know was there some kind of stand off with the repossessions crowd? it would explain the broken pane in the door.

Reopening shortly. Apparently it was an issue between their landlord and the bank.

Well that's a pain in the arse for the staff right before christmas. I wonder if they can sue the landlord for lost earnings.

They're open again. Must be a great relief for the staff.
