My daughter is going to college in Dublin since September and has on 2 occasions has needed a doctor and has not been very lucky. She can see the uni doc for 25 euro a pop but at weekend she has no doc in Dublin. She has a doc here in galway but that is no good to her when she is up in dublin. How does she get a doc in dublin that will also see her with a medical card. She has rang loads and no joy. thanks in advance.

Why can't she just see the uni doctor? I don't know of any doctor in this country that is available at weekends anyway.

Is she wanting to transfer her medical card to a doctor in Dublin?
Most doctors don't want to see a patient whose medical card is registered to a different doctor as they don't get paid so that could be why they are saying no. I think there's a register of doctors who accept medical cards if you Google the area she lives in- either that or call the medical card section and ask them to help.
