It's a Honda foreman and it has lights. It's really for the rear, Reversing a trailer etc. Also handy for loading.

It looks like it would get broken easily sitting in the back of a quad.
You would not be able to use it for long as the battery would flatten and you couldn't Leave bike on unless liquid cooled.

I wired up a trailer socket to the rear lights, just the side lights, then just connect the trailer lights and the red lights at the back come on

on mine when I put on the "hand brake", the brake light stays on. could you take power from the brake light and mount a handy pole and put a handy light on the pole?

That's a good idea and I'm sure you could. My quad has a 12v adapter so I was just hoping to plug in the light as required. Not actually have it permanently mounted. It would just be for those jobs like loading from a trailer to a shed with no lights or the corner of a field. I will probably go with the light I linked above.

Would a good head torch suit? Some good lightweight led ones out there now.

Have a good one but maybe your right it does cover me in most situations. Just think a fixed light with a bit more coverage would be useful, not sure now.
