Netflix on my Kodi HTPC

I'm sure this question gets asked often, but as things in this space change so fast I'm risking asking it again. Nearly every year on the dot I've investigated getting Netflix working along with XBMC/Kodi. I'm even switched from Linux to Win7 with the hope of being able to get it working. Tried messing with WMP as in the States that's a viable solution I guess.

Pity Netflix don't support a Kodi add-on which would be the best solution. I'm pretty sure that still doesn't exist so is there any other way?

Anybody have any thoughts on this? Seems mad to have a HTPC and not be able to manage Netflix with my Kodi setup. I've thought about getting an Amazon Fire Stick or something just for Netflix but this seems daft.

Would appreciate any suggestions or thoughts on this as using the kid's Wii remote for Netflix drives me demented sometimes. Would much prefer to be able to use my Harmony One remote for it.

Or get a chromecast and cast netflix from your phone.

In your first post you said you switched from Linux to Windows 7. In that case could you not just open Netflix in a browser window? Not as elegant as Kodi I know, but should work just fine.

Or have a look at this, http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=211574

Some people say it's working for them, other's not. I don't use Netflix so can't try it out I'm afraid.

Ah, hadn't realized the project has been forked. Worth a go. That SuperRepo looks like a good way to install it. I'll try it out and report back.

Ok, I installed it from SuperRepo last night. I also thought to reboot and try once more this morning. Unfortunately it did not work. I did succeed in logging in and selecting my profile. But most of the menu options (New Movies) returned an empty list. I was able to search and find a show we've been watching, but it reported an error when selecting it. I didn't have much hope supporting Irish Netflix but now I finally know for sure after hearing about the add-on for years.

So now I'm kicking myself for not grabbing an Amazon Fire Stick on Monday for £25. Seems that's probably the best way to get Netflix integrated with my Harmony remote to smoothly transition from HTPC Kodi to Netflix and back again. Does that sound about right?
