Ok so,I was made redundant 1 month ago and can't claim JS benefit yet as my redundancy payment was over the limit.
I have to wait 9 weeks till I claim.

However I want to go travelling for 9 to 10 weeks at the start of the new year.

Is it possible to postpone my claim till I get back..?

Will I get the full 9 months when I start the claim in march/april..?

Is there any other way around this..?

I was in employment for 10 years previous.

    Thanks.

You dont have to make your claim until you get back from travelling and you will get the full 9 months on your return.
