    Hi all. I have been engaged now for about 6 months and I still have my 'place holder' ring. I would love to get my real ring for Christmas time when meeting friends and family but after waiting so long I don't want to buy just to have something to show off. Do any of you know whether or not jewelers do January sales on engagement rings?

    What's your budget at the moment? Why not look at chain jewellers like h.samuel and Thomas gear and see what they offer. Even Argos do nice rings also.

    Martin Gear in Mary St had some offers recently. He's lovely as well, I've ordered our wedding rings there.

    He is great! Didn't get my ring there in the end but I would defo recommend him.
