Anyone know where I can buy one of these old time school desks for my house?

They come up on auction from time to time, varying from excellent to very poor condition.
I have seen a few on adverts too. Perhaps set up a alert on adverts and take a browse round your local auction house?

Here is one from adverts at the moment. Picture is not good though.

I have the cast iron legs of an old one but no timber on it.
I saw a full one in a shop (beside the pub) in Farranfore in Co. Kerry (might be too far but he may courier it) 2 weeks ago. Don't know the name of the place but it is full of bric and brac and opened on Sunday

I might have one in the back of my shed. I'll check tomorrow. What part of the country are you?

I have one that is dissassembled but all the timber work is there in in good nick, likewise with the steel. Have orginal screws but would probably be better to reassessemble with new screws asa they arent visable anyway. It came from a school in Naas in co. Kildare as far as I remember. You can PM me if your interested.

They are a nice feature piece and still functional, but I have enough stuff in my house!
