Surely i amnt the only one thats panicing at this stage, seems like for a mother to enjoy a gift, it has to be expensive, whereas the father doesnt give a damn

What are you getting your aul doll this year?

By aul doll, do you mean your Ma?

Im getting mine Joe Duffys book, a subscription to a magazine she likes and an assortment of spices and cooking oils.

Be careful where you use the term "aul doll". Refers to a girlfriend/partner in some places.

But on a serious note. Find out what perfume or wine she likes and buy the biggest one.

I've changed the title so we actually know who the OP is referring to.

I got my mam a chamilia bracelet last year in h Samuel. I add charms or beads to it now on occasions. It's an easy one now because ill just get something to relate something she's interested in

Scrolling through this thread on my phone and there's an ad for a 4x4 expedition camper van. Thought someone was suggesting it for your ma!

My mum wanted a new lamp, so I bought one for her,

We were in Kildare village this week and she showed a lot of interest in l'occitane shop, in particular one brand, which I will file for another occasion,ts pricey, but she is worth it!

My sis lives in USA and always sends her a voucher for a mani/pedi or massage in some other beauty salon in the city,

It really depends on what your mum likes,

Nice perfume, book, box of chocolates, candle and bottle of wine in a nice box? A good night in for her?
